About Us

The mission of Rice Consulting Services is to build the capacity of current and prospective non-profit organizations by teaching the fundamentals of non-profit operations, board development and strategic planning. We walk with nonprofit entrepreneurs on the journey through organizational development to organizational operations. We also provide training and thought partnership on change management and non-profit administration. While we specialize in supporting churches and community based organizations, we welcome all nonprofit entrepreneurs.

Our service begins with consultation to help identify gaps and opportunities. The result of this consultation is a comprehensive report that includes a project plan with timelines, milestones and a schedule to get it all done. We offer a suite of quality products that will help you get there quickly and smoothly. 

We build the capacity of your human capital by providing group training for admins and executives. We guide you through the change processes for growth, process improvement and systems integrations.

The Founder

Rachel Rice is a nonprofit professional with 20 years of experience in the field. She began her career as a community health outreach worker conducting training and home visits in marginalized communities across Chicago. It was through community engagement and program leadership that she discovered a passion for process improvement.  

Far too often, program deliverables lag or fail due to loosely governed internal operations. Our firm remains committed to strengthening processes and producing results that last. Rachel is skilled at process mapping, process improvement and training adults. Bringing whimsical discipline to her practice, Rachel possesses an infectious positive energy that motivates individuals and organizations to embrace change.
